College RepsSo what does a college rep do? So you want to join the Cross Country Club. But the idea of going straight down to a training session on your own is scary. As is the idea of contacting a committee member you've never even met. Hence the College Rep exists. We have a member in almost every college who has volunteered to represent the club within his or her own college. We hope that you might have met them once or twice before in your college bar or gym so they really shouldn't be that intimidating. If you want to get involved, all you then need to do is to contact your College Rep. He or she can tell you about the club, help you decide that you really do want to join us, and possibly show you the way to a training session or two so that you don't get lost en route! The College Rep also acts as a contact point for runners within college. Whilst everybody in the university is invited to race with us as an individual, our cuppers races are also intercollegiate competitions, and your College Rep(s) will organise a team of runners to represent your college. Unfortunately, there are a few colleges where there is no College Rep. If this is the case, feel free to contact our College League Secretary, who doesn't bite, and will be happy to help with any queries you might have.
